  2. Topic How do explicit lyrics and music video content affect violent behavior of American youth?

Experiments • About 300 undergraduate students at Harvard were selected to participate in the study • The subjects were asked to complete an assignment while listening to music with violent lyrics • After each subject completed their assignment they were asked to complete a questionnaire about their mood when they were completing the assignment

  4. Results The study proved that students who received negative feedback about their assignment while listening to music with violent lyrics displayed a more aggressive mood and hostile behavior.

  5. conclusion • Our hypothesis was proved as valid • The study also proved that those who received negative feedback while listening to more positive music tended to have a less aggressive mood and less violent behavior
