  1. 最高解像度 最高透過力 On VSOP-2 Key Science: Gamma-ray loud blazars M. Kino (NAOJ) On behalf of VSOP-2 SWG Credit: Fermi LAT Collaboration and MOJAVE Team/ Kadler

  2. Main Collaborators VSOP-2 SWG (Nagai-san, Asada-san + ) K.Gabanyi (FOMI), P. Edwards(CSIRO) : VLBI E. Lindfors (Tuorla Obs.) : MAGIC J. Kataoka (Waseda Univ.) : Fermi N. Isobe (Kyoto Univ.) : MAXI Your participations are welcome!

  3. AGN jets: Overview Internal shock • BH+ accretion flow : not yet • Inner jet (blazars) : X/gamma-ray • VLBI knots : VLBI • Large jet (radio gals) : VLA etc Accretion Disk BH Cold ejecta Inner jet VLBI knot distance 10-(1-2)pc ~1pc 100-3kpc 10-(4-3)pc Filling this gap is essential

  4. Typical SED of Radio QSOs Bottcher+09 Filling the gap between VLBI-world and High-energy (1-zone model) world!

  5. Sample selection TeV source list Beilicke • Criteria • Low red-shift • Radio/Gamma-bright • Our selection • Mrk 421 • Mrk 501 • VSOP-2 reaches ~ 0.03pc for Mrks.

  6. Study with Different Viewing angle Limb-brightening (sheath?) VLBI core spine? Blazars Internal shocks VLBI knots (freq. dependent core) Blazars are probably superior for exploring a root of spine. M87 3C84

  7. 横からだと”sheath”が分厚くて(HST1は薄い?)超高速運動部分が見えない?ならば、正面から見ることは大切

  8. News from M87: TeV-γ & VLBI (43G) flare Beam size ~0.03c NRAO e-news (2009, July) TeV-gamma flare clearly synchronized with VLBI flare!

  9. News from Mrk 421: TeV-γ flare In radio-band, mostly single dish monitor. VLBI Observations are rare and sperce. From Beilicke

  10. One-zone emission region (Mrk 421) Kino+02 Cooling break SSA SSC synchrotron Suitable for VLBI/TeV-γ study! SSA is a new key!

  11. Sign of SSA turnover (Mrk 501) Single dish 0.021pc×0.032pc VLBI core @86 GHz SSA 10 100 1 Freq. [GHz] Giroletti+ 2008

  12. Pre-launch study • Observations • Proper motion @43GHz (~month-year) Superluminal? Deceleration? Pre-launch study is precious. • Pilot study of simultaneous MWL Campaigns (~week) Test for “internal shock paradigm” • Theory • Geometry upstream/downstream of “VLBI-core” Where is the real “central-engine” and “gamma-zone”? What’s the relation with spine/sheath & internal-shocks? • SED studies with VLBI-morphology New trial in this research field!SSA is also a new key.
