Sleep Apnea Symptoms, Causes and Remedies

Snoring and sleep apnea is also very common in people who are overweight, because this can add additional pressure on the muscles and soft tissue in the airways. There is no doubt that some kinds of sleep apnea remedies e.g. CPAP, surgery, can be expensive but you have to remember that sleep apnea can be dangerous, and should never be overlooked.

  1. Sleep Apnea Symptoms, Causes and Remedies Sleep Apnea Symptoms Do you snore when you sleep? Have you got trouble breathing while sleeping? Do you experience daytime sleepiness? These can be sleep apnea symptoms. And, unfortunately, sleep apnea can be dangerous. Sleep Apnea Causes It’s a sleep disorder characterized by inhalation and exhalation problems and even stopping breathing altogether for periods during the night. There are several reasons for sleep apnea symptoms… The main issue is that, because of potential issues in your airways causing them to be constricted, air isn’t getting into and out of your lungs in a free-flowing manner. And if the airways are completely blocked for a time, you stop breathing until they are clear again. This can be caused by swollen tonsils and / or adenoids which disrupt the free flow of air.

  2. Sleep snoring and sleep apnea is also very common in people who are overweight, because this can add additional pressure on the muscles and soft tissue in the airways. But, for many people, sleep apnea can be hereditary. This is where the physical makeup of their mouth, nose and throat, passed on by their parents, is such that they are more at risk from the condition. Sleep Apnea Remedies Whatever your cause of sleep apnea, it is treatable. Sleep apnea remedies range from self-help solutions, using an effective sleep apnea mouthpiece at night to surgery as a last resort… When diagnosed with sleep apnea you could, for example, tilt the top of your mattress up to help keep the airways more open and increase airflow. There are also stop snoring devices you can get to help maintain the lower jawbone in the more natural forward position during sleep, instead of dropping down and back and causing the airway to become restricted.

  3. For many sleep apnea sufferers a device called mouthpiece for sleep apnea can be very effective. This consists of a special mask you wear whilst sleeping and which is connected to a machine that provides a free flow of air. These kind of sleep apnea remedies can be of great help, but for particularly intense sleep apnea, there are medical procedures available. But, as with most surgery, doctors are unwilling to use this approach unless as a last resort, where everything else tried has failed, and, where the sleep apnea is particularly severe. Now, there is no doubt that some kinds of sleep apnea remedies can be expensive, e.g. CPAP, surgery, pillows, etc., but you have to remember that sleep apnea can be dangerous, and should never be overlooked. Finally, before choosing whichever remedy or treatment to make use of, always consult your doctor to discover the best cure for you personally.
