Mission • The mission states a vision of the organization a a point in the future by addressing the questions of what, who and how • The overarching concept or principle that guides the organization in establishing goals an objectives: “ To acquire and make readily available a collection of recorded knowledge that support the instructional, research and service goals of the university’s faculty, students and staff”

  5. Goal • Broad statement of direction which serve as a general measure of success • Provide framework for future planning and motivated individuals
