Welding Qualification of CC Helium inlet/outlet Welding structure of CC helium inlet/outlet • Welding qualification for CC helium inlet/outlet • Welding temperature <200 ℃ on the surface of cable • Test welds of the stub shall achieve full penetration in visual, X-ray and microscopic examinations • The acceptance criteria is ISO 5817:2003 Class B

  5. Welding Qualification of CC Helium inlet/outlet • All the NDT test to the CC helium inlet/outlet must be done on the winding line. • The normal radiographic test has been taken into account after welding of helium inlet/outlet to the jacket.

  6. Welding Qualification of CC Case Welding Structure of BCC case • TIG welding will be used on the manufacturing of BCC/SCC subcase. • Laser welding with filler material will be used on the case enclosure for both types of case.

  7. Conclusion • A lot of work has been done to improve the weld quality of CC helium inlet/outlet. • Radiographic test should be made on manufacturing line for the helium inlet/outlet of CC. • TIG welding will be used on the manufacturing of CC subcase and all the NDT test will be made before assembly. • Laser welding will be used for the closure welding of CC case.
