Extracting the Data • >1000 questionnaires returned • 73 questions • Multiple options & comments • Use Cheltenham & Gloucester software • 15 minutes per questionnaire = 250 man hours! • 20 volunteers • Own PC’s • One co-ordinator • Install software • 50 questionnaires each • Keep nagging until it is done!

  8. Plan Recommendations • Best Practice guidelines propose defined Action Plan • Timeframes & responsibilities = What? Who? When? • Example: Chobham needs Affordable Housing What does a detailed Action Plan look like? How long would it take to compile a credible Plan that can be monitored? Would it follow that course anyway (local politics/interests)? • Risks A. Plan delays publication until all such Action Plans are resolved B. Action Plan becomes trivialised “Write to the Rural Housing Trust about how to build Affordable Housing” • Opted for Directional Recommendations “4.3 Prepare and Implement an Affordable Homes strategy” Not all Recommendations will be implemented, but those that are will be worthwhile
