  2. 10 Building Inspectors from Washington State volunteered to assist Jackson County, Mississippi with inspecting public and private structures to determine habitability. The inspectors paired up in teams and were assigned to five Mississippi Gulf Coast cities. This presentation documents my role and observations working with the City of Gautier.

  4. Devastation of Coastal Communities From Pascagoula to Waveland, MS

  5. Entire subdivision destroyed

  6. Damage lessened about six blocks back from the beach

  7. Storm surge washed everything, except concrete, into the Gulf

  9. House designed and constructed by a Structural Engineer

  10. Severe damage to interior

  11. Foam insulation still intact
