  1. INDUSTRIAL TRAINING REPORT ON EMBEDDED SYSTEM

  2. TRAINING AT CMC LTD.

  3. Embedded system in brief • An embedded system is a computer system designed to perform one or a few dedicated functions , often with real-time computing constraints. • Embedded systems are controlled by a main processing core that is usually a microcontroller.

  4. APPLICATIONS IN VARIOUS APPLIANCES OF DAILY LIFE.

  5. INTRODUCING MICROCONTROLLER 8051 • PIN DIAGRAM & HARDWARE FEATURES

  6. SOFTWARE FEATURES • BIT MANIPULATION • TIMER/COUNTER PROGRAMMING • SERIAL COMMUNICATION • INTERRUPT PROGRAMMING • INTERFACING EXTERNAL MEMORY • REAL WORLD INTERFACING

  7. PROJECT • STEPPER MOTOR CONTROL USING 8051 MICROCONTROLLER WITH LCD & KEYPAD INTERFACING.

  8. KEYPAD INTERFACING • MATRIX (4X4) KEYPAD • MATRIX USING DIP SWITCHES.

  9. INTERFACING WITH MICROCONTROLLER

  10. LCD INTERFACING • 16X2 DISPLAY LCD (HD44780) • FEATURES- • 16 CHARACTERS X 2 LINES • +5V POWER SUPPLY • 16 PINS CONFIGURATION

  11. INTERFACING WITH MICROCONTROLLER

  12. STEPPER MOTOR INTERFACING • 4-PHASE STEPPER MOTOR (M35SP-8) Stators Rotor

  13. INTERFCING WITH MICROCONTROLLER

  14. FINALLY COMPLETED PROJECT

  15. OPERATING MANUAL • STARTING WITH POWER SUPPLY • REQUESTING FOR PASSWORD

  16. ENTERING THE PASSWORD THROUGH KEYPAD • DISPLAYING MOTOR CONTROL MESSAGE ON LCD

  17. CONCLUSION Controlling stepper motors is a gigantic leap in the right direction if you desire to make your own mobile robotics project. The inherent control that these motors have to offer allows for quick implementations in robotics where tracking movement is necessary.
