Remediation • Juniors who scored less than a 46 on Critical Reading or Math portions of the PSAT must take the Accuplacer test. If students do not pass the Accuplacer they will be placed in remediation. • If a junior did not take the PSAT their sophomore year scores will be looked at. They must have scored higher than a 42 as a sophomore. • Exceptions: • SAT Reading score of 460 • ACT Reading Score of 18 • ACT English Score of 17 • SAT Math Score of 460 • ACT Math Score of 18

Quick Overview • Choose 7 courses and a study hall for each semester. (Total 16) • College Prep Courses: 4…preferably 5. • Choose Alternative Courses • Fill out scheduling form with requested 12th grade courses. • Input Course Selection into Skyward. • Turn in Course Selection Form with appropriate signatures.
Skyward Username And Password Use your Skyward Login Username and Password. Example: SMITHCHAR000 is entered into the email blank instead of an email address.
Select “Scheduling 2015-16” link to access the most recent Academic Guide and applications for the courses that require one.

Skyward You will need to enter your Course Requests for 2015-2016 into Skyward
Once on Skyward you need to click on the “Schedule” tab on the left side of the page.
#2: Once you find the course you want to take click “Add Course”. You will add each course you plan on taking. # 1: You will search for the class you want to take here.
Important Dates • Scheduling forms must be completed online and turned into the Guidance office by January 21, 2015. • Incomplete Schedules will be returned to the student for correction. • The students counselor will set up individual appointments once a completed schedule is returned.
Schedule Changes • Course selections are final and cannot be changed after May 1, 2015, unless the following exists: Need to meet high school graduation requirements Need to meet college entrance requirements Need to balance over-crowded classes An error in computer entry Late staff changes Requested changes related to teacher assignments, lunch assignments, class periods, etc. will not be considered. If you select a year long course, you are committed to that course for the entire year…you cannot drop at semester.
