  3. What is intra-body communication (IBC)? Short-range communication between devices in which the human body is used as the signal transmission medium Near-field communication solution for BANs Methods for intra-body transmissions: Electric field type Electromagnetic type IBC classification based on transceivers location: Body-environment communication Body-body communication Background

  4. Finger Identification Scheme 3 2 4 2 5 1 Finger Identification Scheme (FIS) : FIS aims to detect the finger being used when a person is using touch sensor devices . Finger Identification Scheme The user touches according to directions with the finger which a system presents. As a result, a system and the exchange of a user are attained, without using some buttons.

  5. Experimental Value and Identification Map of Two finger identification Experimental Value and Identification Map of PTDD of 2TX (5dyas). ◆:little finger ●: third finger*: middle finger▲: forefinger■:thumb Identification ability of PTDD (2TX). Identification Rate Mean value Finger thumb 90.0% fore finger 80.0% 88.8% middle finger 84.0% 92.0% third finger little finger 98.0% Maximum Power and arrival time are different between LTX and RTX, and between LRX and RRX, since distance from each TX to each finger is different. To evaluate above difference, we propose a finger detection method, which is called Power-Time Difference Detection (PTDD). A: Center of gravity value of group A B: Center of gravity value of group B C: Data (C is group of A) Canonical Discrimination Analysis.

  14. Emergency Call System employing IBC • The base system (Mobile/PC) will analyze the signals and send the analyzed results to the center through network in the following 3 types: • Normal – The center will keep the result in the data base for records • Abnormal – The center will send confirm call or message to the patient and to doctor to check patient’s status and conditions. • Danger – The center will send data to doctor and hospital for emergency helps. Also contact somebody who is near by the patient for fast helps.

  15. Components Mobile health care system Components: 1-Sensor The data which we can acquire from this sensor are an electrocardiogram (ECG), a heartbeat count, body temperature, and posture data of the bodies with three axis acceleration sensors 2-Central hub for all the sensors in the mobile health care system, it records all the data from all the sensors and end it in real time or afterwards to the base station 3-USB Receiver Unit USB2.0/1-1 12Mbps connected to the base station to receive and forward the data from the central hub to the healthcare center
