  1. Role of Schools in Incorporating Values and Ethics in Students By Jesus’ Sacred Heart School

  2. Introduction Schools have a big role to play when it comes to infusing values and ethics in children. A child spends maximum time at school, so it is essential that the training and education he or she receives helps him or her to be good person in the truest sense. The Major Role of School is as follows: • Schools should inculcate logical thinking into the mind of your child • Teachers should make it a point to involve their students regularly in value and ethical practice sessions • The moral development of children is the responsibility of schools • Teachers must infuse trust, respect, compassion and concern in the minds of children

  3. Schools should inculcate logical thinking into the mind of your child Children need to be made aware of compassion, social justice, gender equality, democracy, cultural heritage, quality of life and scientific perspective. The curriculum of the school in which you admit your child should be such that he or she learns the evils of fundamentalism in religion, barriers in caste and other social evils attached with our society.

  4. Ethical and Practice Sessions Teachers should make it a point to involve their students regularly in value and ethical practice sessions. Students can gain this practical experience by participating in different voluntary works.

  5. School Responsibility The moral development of children is the responsibility of schools. Children should be taken to old age homes and homes for destitute children to learn the harsh realities of life and grow a rich ethical sense.

  6. Infuse Respect in Child’s Mind Teachers must infuse trust, respect, compassion and concern in the minds of children. The children of today are future of the country. What proper care does to a sapling in the process of growing into a shade giving tree, teachers and the education system should do to children in the process of growing into reliable pillars of tomorrow.
