  3. London Legacy Development Corporation • Created in April 2012 to take over from OPLC and took over planning powers from ODA in October • Purpose to “promote and deliver social, economic and environmental regeneration in the Olympic Park and surrounding area…”

  4. Legacy tensions • Sporting event v Legacy (e.g. Olympic stadium) • Public v Private investment (e.g. Athletes Village) • Residents v Newcomers (e.g. Carpenters Estate) • Large-scale v Small-scale (e.g. Westfield/Stratford Centre)
