  2. Remember… • To divide monomials by monomials, it is a 2 Step process. 2 Steps: • Divide the numbers (coefficients) • Divide the letters (variables)

  3. So… • To divide polynomials by monomials, use the same rules • Polynomials will either have one, two or three terms

  4. Example  First, we split this fraction into 3 different fractions.  Now, we divide each fraction and simplify. = 3u0v2 – 2u2v0 + u-1v0  Simplify

  5. Example 2  First, we split this fraction into 2 different fractions.  Now, we divide each fraction and simplify. = 6x1y0z2 – x0y1z0  Simplify = 6xz2 – y
