Dialers also increase efficiency by directly connecting agents with customers when they become available. • Automatic dialing means that contact center agents do not waste time physically entering phone numbers; this way they spend more time talking to customers.

  3. What does a dialer look like? • The early dialers were pieces of hardware, but today they are usually the software. • Apart from that, the dialer definition is quite flexible. There are also different categories of dialers that target different areas of performance. (To add further confusion, there is rarely any agreement on what these different types of dialers should be called!)
