U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics' 10 Year Outlook: "Management, scientific, and technical consulting services also will grow at a staggering 78 percent." "Demand for these services will be spurred by the increased use of new technology and computer software and the growing complexity of business." Wall Street Journal (Oct 2011) "U.S. starting salaries are expected to rise 3.4% next year, with technology positions likely to see the largest increases - up 4.5%"

  3. Starting Salaries "The class of 2011 scored higher-paying jobs than graduates the year before, with engineering and computer science majors taking home the fattest paychecks. The average starting salary for 2011 graduates was $41,701." … The highest average was for engineering students - $61,872. "Computer Science graduates weren't far behind, with the biggest increase in pay out of all the disciplines" with an average starting salary of $60,594.
