Program DescriptionsDancin' TotsStudents will experience body awareness, self-control, non-locomotor and locomotor  movements, and cognitive learning with the help of their significant adult.  Attire:  Pink/Black leotard/pink ballet shoes or comfortable clothing and bare feet.Ballet/TapUsing the "Cecchetti Method", students will learn basic technique  principles of Ballet while training at the barre and center floor.  In tap, students will build a sense of timing, rhythm and phrasing as they improve their technique through combination patterns and routines.     Attire:  Any color/style leotards and tights/jazz pants. Shoes:  Pink Capezio's Leather Ballet CG2002C shoe.  Bloch Jazz Tap S0301 in tan or Capezio TeleTone Extreme CG55C in tan.Theatre JazzStudents explore basic jazz principles through barre and center floor work.  Isolations and rhythm are focused on while learning combinations put to Broadway music.  Attire:  Any color/style leotards and tights/jazz pants. Shoes:  Tan Capezio's Jazz Boot TCG05.  Jazz sneakers may be worn for class. Irish DanceThis style of dance is notable for its rapid leg movements, body and arms being kept largely stationary. The step dance is generally characterized by a controlled, but not rigid upper body, straight arms, and quick, precise movements of the feet.Attire: Any color/style leotards and tights/jazz pants. Shoes: Jazz oxford or sneaker. Hip HopThis form of dance is seen on television in music videos. Hip Hop evolved out of street and break dancing and is characterized by its' athletic and bouncy style. Hip Hop is done primarily to Rap, R & B and Hip Hop music.  Attire:  Jazz pants/any color, style camisole leotards may be worn.  Shoes:  Black jazz sneaker Adult Hip and FitAn exercise class that combines rhythmic aerobic exercise with stretching and strength training routines with the goal of improving all elements of fitness (flexibility and muscular fitness, and cardio-vascular fitness). Attire: Comfortable fitness clothes and tennis shoes.Tumbling CampThese classes will develop students' strength, coordination and balance. Students will learn basic floor tumbling tricks such as front and back rolls.  Basic apparatus will be used.  Different themes will be used throughout the week.Attire:  Biketard or Leotard/Camisole with shorts and bare feet.Dance Card can be used with any combination of classes within your level. You have the choice to take the same class(es) each week or take different class(es) each week by choosing a class within your level. Also, if you pay for 4 classes, you can take them within one, two, three or spread them out over four weeks. This is a great opportunity to explore different avenues of dance to see what works best for you!
