Regional Associations • Purpose • To promote coordination and cooperation among the CHDP programs within each region • To consider issues and policies of mutual concern • To forward questions and/or recommend appropriate action to the State CHDP Program though the Executive Committee • 4 Regional Associations (RA): • Bay Area, Central, North, South

  4. Regional Associations 4 • Membership includes CHDP Directors and Deputy Directors. Other local program staff may attend as invited. • Regional Associations may establish subcommittees, for example: • foster care • health education • provider relations • oral health • Each Subcommittee shall designate a representative to attend the RA meetings. • State CMS Staff attend RA meetings to provide input and expertise.

Regional Associations • Contact the Chair of your RA to be added to the region’s distribution list and for: • Copy of currentRA Bylaws developed by the Regional members • Minutes of RA meetings • Minutes of CHDP Executive Committeemeetings • Copy of State Report distributed at RA meetings • Roster of RA members

  9. Deputy Directors 9 There is a wealth of knowledge and history among the Deputy Directors in the local programs. You can also find contact information on the CHDP home page under the link “Contact a CHDP Program.” Request a Regional Association roster for email and phone numbers.

  11. CMS Directory • A directory of State staff and key local program staff is available on-line at the CHDP website, under Publications/Directories. • The directory includes names, unit/position titles, phone numbers, addresses and/or fax numbers.
