  1. 13 Tips for Turning This Black Friday More Profitable Holiday season you waited for the whole year is approaching. Black Friday may open up an opportunity for you to a mega-sale whether you are a theater, broadcast studio, club, band, stage, house of worship, sports place, DJ, educational institute, or mobile event venue. As statistics suggest, November and December drive 30 percent more revenue in sales compared to non-holiday months, with the days from Black Friday through Christmas specifically garnering 50% to 100% more revenue than non-holidays. Here are thirteen tips for making it more profitable for your venue: 1.Prepare a plan with your managers and chief executives. Regard the holiday season as one long weekend. 2.Organize a staff meeting stressing the importance of customer care and service. Remind them that it benefits everyone involved if the sales increases. 3.Devise an array of holiday specials. If you are a restaurant, it may be a dish. If you are a theater, you may create a special number or play. 4.Serve up special holiday drinks. You may recreate a retro holiday drink to fit your demographic. 5.Promote your venue. Just because it is a holiday season doesn’t mean people are rushing to your place. Use social networking, email and some old-fashioned advertising campaigns to encourage customers visit your venue. 6.Make sure every trip to your nightclub or restaurant is an experience for the visitor. Their experience should begin once they open the door and continue until they leave. 7.Refurbish your venue for the event. You may consider installing brand new seats or changing the old lighting fixtures with brand new LED ones. Innovatively designed and stylish hex cores, leekos, strip lights, miniature wedges, etc. would help in creating the kind of experience your visitors are expecting. 8.If you can’t compete on price, offer extra service: Maybe you can’t afford to discount your prices as much as the big-box store down the road, but what if you offer to deliver the item the following week or offer free gift wrapping? 9.Don’t wait for the last minute for launching Black Friday promotions. Rather, feature sale items the entire week before the event, building up to the actual day. 10.Offer discounted shipping, or even free shipping. May outlets offer free shipping on Black Friday and buyers have got used to it, so you will have to lower shipping costs substantially. Money isn’t a problem as volume of sales will enable you recover costs. 11.Host events prior to Black Friday to inform people about your sales plans and create the atmosphere. You can plan a series of events leading up to Black Friday. 12.Take adequate care of your waiting customers. While people are waiting for your opening, offer them hot beverages, doughnuts, and reading material. Make arrangements for them once they are at your place.

  2. 13.Black Friday events are crowded and loud. Try proving your guests a relaxing environment. Rather than focusing singularly on Black Friday, think about the whole festive season as the long shopping marathon. Gearing up for it will enable you make the most of the sales opportunities that come your way.
