  4. At the beginning, the reader learns about the setting and characters and the situation they are in. • Next, the characters encounter conflicts or obstacles they must overcome. This causes action, suspense, tension and excitement in the story begins to rise. • In the middle, the story reaches it’s turning point - the climax. • Then, the characters start to solve the problems, overcoming the obstacles. • At the end, all conflicts are resolved and the characters’ goals are achieved, coming to a conclusion. Story Arc:Narrative texts are structured into a five-part story arc.

Echo is cursed by Hera. Then she has an encounter with Narcissus and heartlessly gets refused by him. Ashamed she moves to the mountains. As a result, Narcissus suffers and dies like other nymphs who loved him. Leaving behind, Echo’s voice and a beautiful flower. The setting and characters Echo and Narcissus are introduced.
