  3. It offers • HIV/Aids and TB training using the story method • Entrepreneurial training • Counselling Training • ECD training • Train-the-trainer training • Assists graduates and professionals in writing adult learning material aligned to SAQA standards

  4. Harvest Time Handsoriginated from Call The Rain, an organization that offeredstorytelling trainingin the fight against HIV/Aids

  5. And sparked a journey of change in the workplace and community

  6. Storytellers share this wisdom... We can only hope to Call the Rain. This means we can hope for rain, we can pray for rain. We could even dance for it. But we cannot make the rain to fall… …for that is God’s work. So we can hope people will hear the message in the story, and consider change, but we can never make the change for them… For that is their decision.

  7. The first story told in Khayalitsha started a crèche

  8. After hearing the story a group of women who were all living with HIV initiated the start of a crèche, Bongelethu Crèche

  9. Since then…over 600 storytellers have been trained across the country, in the Kingdom of Swaziland, Malawi and Namibia. Since then…

  10. Storytellers have been trained in South Africa, Namibia, andthe Kingdom of Swaziland

  11. An Imbizo is a storyteller graduation

  12. Where we share our storyteller journey and share our dreams for the future

  13. We discuss: • Job creation • Decreasing stigma • Encouraging continuation of ARV treatments • Diversity training • Entrepreneurial training • How we can change a nation

  14. Our hands are needed to bring in the Harvest. It is time to harvest the hope that has been sown through skills-training and opportunity creation for ALL people. Our children are counting on us. That we can bring growth to our beautiful nation.
