  4. Incomplete Dominance • The phenotype of the heterozygote is in between the two homozygotes. • RR – Red flowers • rr – white flowers • Rr – pink flowers

  5. Codominance • Causes the phenotype of both homozygotes to be produced in heterozygous individuals. • Ex: Checkered chickens

  6. Multiple Alleles • Traits controlled by more than two alleles • Coat color in rabbits • C (dark grey) – dominant to all other alleles • Cch (Chinchilla) – dominant to Himalayan and white • Ch (himalayan) – dominant to white • c (white) - recessive

  8. Sex-linked Inheritance • Traits controlled by genes located on the sex chromosome (X). • Ex: Colorblindness and hemophilia
