What Do The Stars Show Us? 5 Star and 4 Star Schools • Approximately 20% of schools • Typically strong levels of achievement, growth, graduation rate, and preparation of students for post secondary opportunities. 3 Star Schools • Approximately 60% of schools • Typically good to strong levels of achievement, growth, and graduate rates. • May need to develop more opportunities for students to prepare for post secondary opportunities. • Attendance may or may not be below 90% 2 Star and 1 Star Schools • Approximately 20% of schools • Variable or low achievement and growth in academics. • May have other issues with graduation rate, attendance, and preparation of students for post secondary opportunities. • Must participate in guided school improvement.
