  6. Where are local foods found? • Stores or supermarkets that sell local products • Farmers’ markets, farms, or in forests • Businesses that deliver baskets of local fruits and vegetables • Community or home gardens

  7. Eat fewer foods that come from distant countries, as they are: Eating locally is ideal! . less fresh! . Overwrapped! .Have added ingredients that are not that healthy!

  8. What can you do? Encourage your parents: • To grow a variety of fruits and vegetables at home! • To buy their eggs and meat from local farms! • To freeze foods and make preserves!

  9. In summary… • “Eating locally” is very important for the environment, your health, and the local economy!
