  7. Arrival • We’ll meet our Tour Director once we have cleared customs and baggage claims. His name is Camilo Espinoza • We might have to wait at the airport for the other group – but doesn’t sound like it • We’ll start tour right away and check in to our hotel at the end of the day. • The best way to beat jet lag is to stay awake throughout the arrival day. (still the same time zone)

  8. Tour Director Our dedicated Tour Director,Camilo Espinoza, will be with us throughout tour to handle logistics and provide suggestions for activities. He is trained to handle any emergencies that could arise on tour. He has 24-hour access to local EF offices, as well as EF’s worldwide and North American headquarters.

  9. Breakfast typically includes cereal, bread, juice, coffee and tea. Lunch is included Dinners will be a mix of local cuisine and familiar dishes served as a preset meal for our group, rather than chosen from a menu. Rice, Beans, & Chicken – get ready for it! Meals Food portions are smaller than they are in the U.S. Water is included with all meals (and purified where it is deemed necessary); additional beverages will be paid for by the traveler Please let me know of any allergies. I can pass that along to Camilo.

  10. Hotels • Generally, hotel rooms are smaller than in the U.S. • Most hotels will not have air conditioning or elevators. • Wi-Fi will not always be available, and when it is there may be a fee. • In Atlanta, we will be staying at the holiday Inn Express

  11. Rooming • Students are roomed 3-4 per room in a combination of twin and shared double beds. • Please let me know with whom would like to room. • Students may be roomed with the other group traveling with us (but it doesn’t sound like that is likely to happen)

  12. Global Travel Protection Plan For just $165 your plan covers: Global Travel Protection has been included in your tour price. If you have any questions, call EF Customer Service at 800-665-5364. • Illness and accident • Baggage and property • Tour cancellation and interruption • Flight delay • 24-hour access to an English-speaking representative

  13. ATMs are the best way to get money. No need to exchange money. If bringing cash, make sure you have crisp bills Don’t bring traveler’s checks Notify your bank or credit card company that you’ll be abroad and in Atlanta An estimate of around $25 - $30 a day for spending money. Of course this depends entirely on how many snacks you buy and any souvenirs you wish to purchase. Spending money

  14. Passports & visas All travelers are responsible for securing their own exit and entry requirements and any additional documentation • Valid passports are required for all travelers. • Name and gender listed on your EF account must exactly match passport information. • Passports must be valid for 6 months after tour. • Carry a copy of your passport with you and also leave a copy at home. The copy should be a color copy • I recommend taking a picture of your passport and sharing that with me • Carry your passport in your carry on luggage.

  15. Emergency Contacts • EF will use the emergency contact list if they need to communicate any information while we’re on tour. • Emergency contacts cannot be traveling with this group and must be available for the duration of the tour. • Confirm your emergency contacts • Make sure your information is correct and up to date. All changes can be made on your personalized website. • I will have my cell phone available • 507-828-8128

  16. Communication during trip CELL PHONE Tripcast.co Facebook / Twitter/Instagram Check with your wireless provider about international calling. Verizon’s fee is $10 per 24 hour period.
