1. October Student of the Month Braleigh Austin is student of the month because…. Braleigh is a friend to everyone, a hard worker, and she is a great helper! Kindergarten, Mrs. Connor’s Class

2. October Student of the Month Brooke Hedges is student of the month because…. Brooke works hard and is truly a role model for other students!  1st Grade, Ms. Farrior’s Class

3. October Student of the Month Connor Bailey is student of the month because…. Connor is very responsible, helpful, and courteous. He is a great friend to his classmates. Kindergarten, Mrs. Hudson’s Class

4. October Student of the Month Darius Braylond White is student of the month because…. Braylond is respectful, kind and considerate to his peers. Kindergarten, Mrs. Hudson’s Class Nominated by Mrs. Miller

5. October Student of the Month De’Maurion Shelley is student of the month because…. De’Maurion is always taking on additional tasks inside and outside the classroom to show his leadership. He is a vital member of our classroom for participating in daily classroom activities and bringing in all his wonderful outside experiences and knowledge to share with us. He takes pride in helping the kindergarten each and every day, wiping down tables for first lunch, being one of the class representatives for student council, and being an active member of the Paw Print News team. He is a 5th grade role model and I am proud to have him represent our class as Student of the Month – congratulations De’Maurion! 5th Grade, Mr. Pascoe’s Class

6. October Student of the Month Emilia Bookout is student of the month because…. Emilia is always focused on the task before her, and is always ready to be helpful to her classmates. 1St Grade, Mrs. Murdock’s Class

7. October Student of the Month Evette Jasso is student of the month because…. Evette takes pride in following school and classroom rules.  She is always doing the right thing! 3rd Grade, Ms. Shughart’s Class

8. October Student of the Month Gabriel Cordova is student of the month because…. Gabriel is a good listener. He works quietly at his desk and his center. Gabriel is kind and helpful to his peers. He works well with everyone and participates in classroom activities. 1st Grade, Mrs. Johnson’s Class

9. October Student of the Month Haley Zachary is student of the month because…. Haley works hard in class and makes good choices. Haley shows pride in herself, in being a friend, and in her work! 2nd Grade, Ms. Rocchio’s Class

10. October Student of the Month Harmony Phillips is student of the month because…. Harmony has done a fabulous job in the classroom this month. Harmony knows her multiplication facts so well that she scored 90% on her test! This was the highest grade in the class! Also, Harmony does an excellent job participating in class discussion and being involved in her own learning. Hooray for Harmony!! 4th Grade, Mrs. Feldt’s Class

11. October Student of the Month Izak Jasso is student of the month because…. Izak’s behavior is fantastic. He is kind to everyone and always tries his best. 1st Grade, Mrs. Donohoo’s Class

12. October Student of the Month Jayson Siewert is student of the month because…. Jayson is a great student. He is always on task and doesn't need reminders to stay focused or get to work. He is helpful when appropriate and enjoys to learn and be at school. 3rd Grade, Mrs. Parnell’s Class

13. October Student of the Month Lawrence Scafuri is student of the month because…. Lawrence is a kind, and responsible fifth grader. He makes himself available to help his peers with any academic question. He is a role model for others in the class and for younger students at Mountainside. He is a dependable helper in the kindergarten rooms at the end of the day. He is also a key member of the Paw Print News team after school. 5th Grade, Mrs. Johnson’sClass

14. October Student of the Month Liam Hawthorne is student of the month because…. Liam is always working hard, doing his best and is always willing to supporting his friends 2nd Grade, Mrs. Yamamoto’s Class

15. October Student of the Month Misty Styburski is student of the month because…. Misty is always attentive in class. She turns in her homework on time, and gives her best all day long. 4th Grade, Mr. Solon’s Class

16. October Student of the Month Nicole Beichner is student of the month because…. Nicole is always prepared for class each day with a signed planner and completed homework. She contributes to class discussions and group work. She is kind and thoughtful when she greets others and when she interacts with her classmates. 4th Grade, Mrs. McLane’s Class

17. October Student of the Month Sarah Ojeda is student of the month because…. Sarah is a new student who came to Mountainside from California.  Her quiet confidence and kindness to others makes Sarah a remarkable friend.  Her effort in regards to academics and homework is unsurpassed in our room. 5th Grade Mrs. Bagshaw’s Class

18. October Student of the Month Serenity Stinnet is student of the month because…. Serenity works hard, never gives up, and her positive attitude and spirit of cooperation make her a terrific group member and classmate. 3rd Grade, Mr. Griffin’s Class
