  1. Six Uses for Cinnamon Sticks

  2. Cinnamon sticks are basically the bark of a tree. They have a sweet, earthy flavor that adds depth to many different dishes and desserts. You can use cinnamon sticks to enrich beverages like tea or coffee and flavor desserts like yogurt, fruit salads, stews and more. • How to Use Cinnamon Sticks • Cinnamon sticks are available in different lengths and thicknesses, so you have options. You may choose to use a whole cinnamon stick in place of ground cinnamon to add flavor to hot drinks, stews, casseroles and pies, or opt for cinnamon quills to infuse tea. • Stir into hot cocoa. • Mix up your hot chocolate by using a cinnamon stick as a stirrer. After sitting in the hot chocolate for a bit, the stick will start to disintegrate, adding a pleasant cinnamon taste to your drink.

  3. Make homemade cinnamon tea. • This simple tea is great for cold nights and it's easy to make. Just combine one cup of water with one cinnamon stick in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Then let the mixture simmer for fifteen minutes. Remove the remains of the stick, then pour the tea through a strainer to catch any large chunks of cinnamon. • Add to your phở broth. • In addition to its use as a spice, cinnamon can also be used a key ingredient in phở broth. To make a flavorful broth, add a cinnamon stick toward the end of cooking time. After removing it and any other herbs (such as bay leaves), you will have a tasty soup base that's ready for serving. • Grind for an apple pie. • Whole cinnamon sticks can be an alternative to ground cinnamon. Try placing some in your coffee grinder and pulse until finely ground for recipes like apple pie, spice cake and other baked goods. The aroma of cinnamon is also said to help improve brain function, help you sleep better and even increase longevity.

  4. Mix in with basmati rice. • Cinnamon sticks are perfect in raisin-based desserts, or in a sweet and savory Persian rice dish. You don't need much to get that wonderful cinnamon flavor going. Cinnamon is best added toward the end of cooking time to avoid it burning, but you'll have plenty of time to add it, as the rice cooks for one hour. • Garnish a hot toddy. • A perfect autumn and winter beverage, this whiskey-infused hot cider is sure to warm the soul. It's easy to make and requires simple ingredients. Add a cinnamon stick as a seasonal garnish for an additional punch of flavor. • Our bulk cinnamon sticks are made from the finest Organic Cassia cinnamon and Ceylon cinnamon from Sri Lanka, and India, making them ideal for baking, cooking, and display.
