  2. THAT IS A INJURIES? • An injury is an injury that occurs in the body. It is a general term that refers to damage caused by accidents, falls, blows, burns, weapons and other causes

  3. EXTERNAL CAUSES • Physical causes: such as trauma, radiation, electricity, produces heat burns, cold. also be applied to an allergy • Chemical Causes: As the skin corrosive substances such as poisons • Biological causes: These include infectious agents, whether viruses, bacteria or parasites.

  4. INTERNAL CAUSES • Immune disorders: such as autoimmune diseases and hypersensitivity reactions. • Hereditary diseases. • Congenital or developmental malformations. • Metabolic disorders such as diabetes mellitus • Nutritional deficiency: As malnutrition and vitamin deficiency.

BURN • a burn is a type of skin lesion caused by various factors, occur by contact with flames, hot liquids, hot surfaces and other sources of high temperature • Treatment: The goals of treatment are to save life, achieving functional recovery, aesthetic, psychological and social integration; Initial treatment should include assessment described in the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) by the American College of Surgeons, and the Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) by the American Burn Association.

A symptom is subjective, observed by the patient, and cannot be measured directly. • Today we are going to learn vocabulary related to our health. We are going to learn expressions to describe how we feel. It is important to practice and repeat the phrases. • The term is sometimes also applied to physiological states outside the context of disease, as for example when referring to symptoms of pregnancy.
