  2. Bluff-verb • Definition- To engage in a false display of strength and confidence, usually in order to deceive someone • Bob called Joe ‘s bluff when he told everyone that the end of the world will be today. With humiliation he quit school. • Synonym- lie • Antonym-truth

  3. Brackish-adjective • Definition- salty • Don’t drink the brackish ocean water Bob! You’ll just get more thirsty from that water! • Synonym- salty • Antonyms- sweet or fresh water Hey, I did look up salt on clip art

Circumference-noun • Definition- The boundary of an area, an object, or geometric figure; especially a circle • We did not know the circumference of the planet Jupiter until NASA launched a satellite to orbit around the planet. Synonyms- area or circular boundary Antonyms- square or perimeter Behold! It’s pixilated glory!

  5. Headway-noun • Definition- To progress towards a place or goal • Yes! I had made headway into this PowerPoint! I’m almost there completing it for you guys! • Synonyms- progress or goal • Antonyms- stalemate or draw Let’s hope this happens with the government…

Ignite-verb • Definition-To cause something to start burning; to catch on fire. • As I ignite the gas with the chemical in my flamethrower, it sprayed a thirty foot trail of fire into the bunker. All of the enemy has been evacuated out of the bunker. • Synonyms- burn or blaze • Antonyms- dose or firefight don’t mess with the USA!

  7. Illuminated-noun • Definition- To cast light upon someone or something • As I illuminated my surroundings, I saw thousands of bats swarming around me apparently being bothered by the light. • Synonyms- light or shine • Antonyms- darken or dull Yes, this is with light

  8. Impending-adjective • Definition- About to occur • The class was cringing with an impending sense when the teacher had a disappointed look on her face. • Synonyms- imminent or looming • Antonyms- delayed or slowed OMG! OMG! OMG!

  9. Repugnant-adjective • Definition- Causing disgust; offensive or repulsive • In America, slurping your food can be found repugnant or repulsive. In some Asian cultures, slurping is a sign that you enjoyed your meal and shows respect. • Synonyms- nasty or rude • Antonyms- kind or pleasant It’s the trending fashion!

  10. Restitution- noun • Definition- to pay up money or make up damage or injury that you have caused. • Bob broke Joe’s arm, legs, ribs, and fractured his skull. In restitution, he paid back Joe $20,000 . • Synonyms- favor or repay • Antonyms- payback or revenge Sorry bro…

Sabotage- noun and verb • Definition- (n) A deliberate act that causes damage or stops activities (v) To commit sabotage against something. • Noun-Some people think that the explosion of the Hindenburg was an act of sabotage and was not an accident. Verb- I sabotaged the school security system! I’ve planted a virus into the Promethean boards that will slow them for days! • Synonyms- hack or damage • Antonyms- fix or help What are you guys doing?

  12. Scarcity-noun • Definition- Insufficient supply; a shortage • During WWII, the British were having a scarcity of steel to make airplanes. Instead, they built their planes with wood. • Synonyms- lack or dearth • Antonyms- surplus or harvest Doomsday preppers

  13. Zeal-noun • Definition- Great enthusiasm or devotion to a cause, idea or goal • The Illuminati, was a top secret organization that had great zeal to dominate the whole world and purify it. IT HAS A CREAMY SMOOTH TEXTURE AND A SLIGHTLY SWEET FLAVOR WITH A HINT OF ZEST. • SYNONYMS- ZEST OR GUSTO • ANTONYMS- DISGUSTING OR HORRIBLE

  16. HALCYON- ADJECTIVE • Definition- calming and peaceful • For one moment, there was a halcyon moment. There was no sound or noise from anyone and there was a gentle breeze wafting into the room. • Synonyms- Zen or soothing • Antonyms- bedlam or ruckus

Metamorphosis-noun • Definition- A transformation; an alternate stage • Each little caterpillar has to go through a stage of metamorphosis to change into a beautiful butterfly. • Synonyms- transformation or alternation • Antonyms-repetitive or one-staged before All simply with proactive! after
