1. Past Life and Regression Therapy with Powerlessness Eddy had anorexia as a teenager. She was unable to hug her daughter with genuine feeling and had a dysfunction sexual relationship with her husband regarding body shame. She also had issues around money and especially with her mother and grandfather. Eddy thought she may have had sexual abuse from father but had not explored this. She had an extreme level of powerlessness when faced with those in authority or power characterised by physical symptoms of trembling legs, a pounding heart and a dry mouth when in an acute situation, and it could last the whole day. She worked with a Lucy Jordan a regression therapist who had past life regression therapy training. At the Past Life Regression Academy. Some sessions were done remotely using the internet and some in person sessions. Her first past life was as a reasonably financially secure young woman whose father had left the family and her mother could not cope and took to bed and died one year later. The father never came back or contacted the family again but his outstanding debts resulted in the young woman losing everything and being thrown on the streets with her two young siblings.No one in the community helped so she resorted to begging from wealthy homes, and was often physically abused. She went to a Christian charity to stay and was noticed by the Mayor’s son during a visit from the municipality. He set her up in a house where she organised debauched parties for him and his friends. She enjoyed this lifestyle and died peacefully. Her next past life was a woman suffering severe domestic abuse and her baby daughter was given away at birth by a brutal and disappointed husband, who Eddy recognised as her current life father. She experienced a huge emotion release with deep crying. As part of the transformation she discovered her soul contract with her husband, and the powerless she experienced was for her to feel softness, and also for him to be reminded of this softness. Her third past life was as a 40 year old black female slave in the USA in the early days of slavery. Eddy was as one of a gang of women chained together harvesting rice. She was rebellious and frequently beaten, particularly on the right hip. She was of mixed race, her father being the slave master’s son who was murdered by his father for having sex with a slave woman. Her mother was poisoned by the slave master so she was raised by the slave community. The white owners and managers treated her worse than the others because of her mixed parentage and had been regularly beaten her since she was 16yrs old. All three past lives had a connection with powerlessness so the work now was with Eddy’s current life. A childhood memory of being awoken as a child by the sensation of her legs being held just below the knees while being abused was explored and

2. transformed using body therapy. This allowed her to experience physical memories differently and for trapped emotions to be released. She now started to recall that her father was a ‘loose cannon’ disturbed by his own problems. Her mother was very, very strict. She imposed many rules and rigid routines on her daughter and husband. There was no fun and Eddy felt ‘castrated’ by her mother, she suspects her father did too. This and other memories of powerless were transformed using inner child therapy aimed at helping the badly hurt young Eddy to experience love and empowerment and to bring this back into her life now. Following therapy the powerless had dramatically reduced, all the physical symptoms completely resolved and her intimacy with her husband improved. This is what Eddy said about the therapy …. “It was with great relief and amazement that I finally achieved the goal that Lucy (therapist) and I had set for myself, namely: Reduce powerlessness in the face of authority, a goal based on symptoms that were paralysing me in recurring situations. First of all the relief, because to start the sessions with a feeling of trembling legs at 100% and to finish the experience with a rate below 20%, we can say that regression therapy is a success.
