  1. Physical Memory Review • Temporarily holds data and instructions as CPU processes them • Two categories • ROM • Retains its data when PC is turned off • Stores data on chips socketed or soldered to circuit boards • RAM • Loses its data when PC is turned off • Housed on SIMMs, DIMMs

  2. ROM on the Motherboard • Consists of memory chips that contain programs (ROM BIOS) that are acid-etched into the chips and cannot be changed • EPROM (erasable programmable ROM) and EEPROM (electrically erasable programmable ROM) chips can be reprogrammed

  11. لتثبيت وحدات الDIMM حاذ PINs بوضع صحيح مع المقبس أضغط الي الأسفل برفق حتي ينزل الحاملين علي جانبي DIMM في مكانهما وتأكد من أن وحدات ال RAM نزلت في مقابسها والا انها لن تعمل

  14. أزالة وحدات ال DIMMأدفع الي الأسفل حاملي DIMM من كل جانب الي الأسفل في الوقت نفسه وبذلك سوف تندفع ال DIMM خارج مقبسها

  18. أكتشاف وأصلاح الأخطاء تثبيت الذاكرة- اذا لم يعمل النظام تأكد من تثبيت وحدات الذاكرة بشكل صحيح- تحقق من أن وحدات الذاكرة متوافقة مع اللوحة الأم- الأتصال السيئ قد يمنع عمل وحدات الذاكرةبشكل صحيح ، وقد ينتج ذلك عن الغبار فك كل وحدة ونظف التماسات وايضا نظف منفذ الذاكرةأذا عمل النظام ولكن فشل في عملية الأختبار الذاتي أقرأ رسالة الخطأ قد يكون هنالك مشكلة في وحدة الذاكرةاو يكون هنالك عدم توافق BIOS وعليك أستعادة التكوين الأصلي للذاكرة في أعدادات ال CMOS يستطيع النظام أن يكشف تلقائيا الذاكرة الجديدة ولكن بعض الأنظمة تتطلب تحديث اعدادات CMOS لتحديد مقدار الذاكرة

  19. - احد الأسباب لتعطل ال Ram هي بسبب أرتفاع درجة الحرارة وفشل ال RAM يعطي ثلاث أشارات صوتية طويلةمن مظاهر أعطال ال RAMالحروف تظهر علي الشاشة بشكل سيئ أو ظهور خطوط علي سطح المكتب ظهور رسالة خطأinsufficient memory السبب تشغيل عدد كبير من الملفات أو البرامج والحل يكون بزيادة سعة الRamحجم الذاكرة المدون على الشاشة غير سليم . السبب : عدم تركيب الرام لشكل سليم . الإجراء : فك وتركيب الرام من جديد

  20. الفيوز: • إذا أعطى قيمة صفر فهو يعمل وإذا أعطى قيمة مالا نهاية فهو لا يعمل ( يوجد به قطع ) لأن الفيوز سلك ودائما مقاومة السلك تساوى الصفر . • في الجهاز نختار علامة أوم . الفرق بين المقاومة والدايود : • المقاومة تحتوي على ألوان . • الدايود يحتوي على " " وفي جهاز الكمبيوتر لونها أسود .
