  9. Overtime Policy Changes • Current Process • Hourly Non-exempt Employees • All overtime paid with hours worked • Monthly Non-exempt Employees • All overtime is accrued as compensatory time • Departments choose to pay or require employee to use as time off

  10. Overtime Policy Changes • New Process • Effective September 1, 2008 – all overtime will be paid • Compensatory time balances remaining as of November 1, 2008 will be paid on December 1, 2008 • Departments may require their employees to use all comp time by October 31, 2008

  11. Non-exempt Pay Frequency Change • Beginning January 2009, all non-exempt employees will be paid semi-monthly • Pay periods and dates • Pay period of 1 – 15th; paid on 25th • Pay period of 16th - EOM; paid on 10th of following month

  12. Employee Notification • Memo to Non-exempt employees on February 7th • Explains details of the overtime change and pay frequency change • Packet of individual memos delivered to department for distribution to employees
