  4. IEEE-CS and IEEE-SA Opportunities • At the suggestion of CS President-Elect Kathy Land, several principals from both the SA (George Arnold, Judy Gorman, Susan Tatiner, Karen Kenney, Karen McCabe) and the CS (Kathy Land, John Walz, John Harauz, Jim Moore, Angela Burgess, Ann Vu) met in Washington on 21 October to discuss opportunities for cooperation. Following a positive and forward-looking discussion, the following actions were developed. • 1) Take an initial inventory to determine how the IEEE SA and the IEEE CS can market each other’s products and identify areas of improvement. • 2) The IEEE-SA, the IEEE CS, and the Standards Education Committee will explore development of a joint initiative/business plan focusing on where we can build the greatest traction for identified stakeholders over a 3-5 year period.

  5. Location Change to Center for Standards • IEEE-SA and Industry Standards and Technology Organization (ISTO) moves to 501 Hoes Lane, Piscataway, NJ 08854 as of 24 November, 2008. • Move was necessary as 445 Hoes Lane was running out of space, IEEE-SA and ISTO were asked to move. • The new Office will be called Center for Standards. • Will have 2 Conference Rooms. • Cerf Conf.
