Dependable Wireless M2M Network • Dependability in network” means to guarantee lowest performance enough high in a sense of highly reliable, safe, secure, fault tolerant, robust services in any predictable and even unpredictable worse environments • Demand for Dependable Networks • Need for Highly Reliable, Robust Communications for Controlling • Transition from Human centric communications to Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications. • Highly reliable, safe, secure and robust communications for M2M Controlling is necessary • Integrated wired & wireless networks provide dependable, green and ecological networks adaptable for environment. • Emotion and Sustainability • Medicine, Robot, ITS, Energy Supply, and Manufacturing require more dependability in controlling network, integrated circuit, link in micro devices. • Medical equipment and industrial products need long life time, fault tolerance. • Dependable Network Architecture for M2M controlling.   4. SC WNG Actions • Straw Poll: How many companies have an interest on this activity? Count was 31 • Do we establish an interest group or a study group within 802.15 to discuss it? Support for IGwas 18 with 5 for study group • Given the interest and the expected participation an interest group will be formed at the closing plenary if an IG chair can be named (perhaps Dr. Kohno?) SC Maintenance • Meeting objectives were to review the web site, review the request form, and define a process for this committee • Web site and request form were reviewed and approved • Process was defined using 802.1 maintenance as a baseline, and will be included in the 802.15 Operations Manual • Committee size will be 5 – 7, selected by WG chair • Committee will maintain maintenance database and make recommendations to WG Pat Kinney, Kinney Consulting LLC
