  2. FBLA-PBL Mission Statement Our mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.

  3. FBLA-PBL Creed I believe education is the right of every person. I believe the future depends on mutual understanding and cooperation among business, industry, labor, religious, family and education institutions, aw well as people around the world. I agree to do my utmost to bring about understanding and cooperation among all of these groups.

  4. Creed Continued… I believe every person should prepare for a useful occupation and carry on that occupation in a manner that brings the greatest good to the greatest number. I believe every person should actively work toward improving social, political, community and family life. I believe every person has the right to earn a living at a useful occupation.

  5. Creed Continued… I believe every person should take responsibility for carrying out assigned tasks in a manner that brings credit to self, associates, school and community. I believe I have the responsibility to work efficiently and to think clearly. I promise to use my abilities to make the world a better place for everyone.

  6. FBLA-PBL Pledge I solemnly promise to uphold the aims and responsibilities of Future Business Leaders of America and as and active member I shall strive to develop the qualities necessary in becoming a responsible business leader.

  7. FBLA-PBL Goals Develop competent, aggressive business leadership Strengthen the confidence of students in themselves and their work. Create more interest in and understanding of American business enterprise. Encourage members in the development of individual projects which contribute to the improvement of home, business, community. Develop character, prepare for useful citizenship, and foster patriotism. Encourage and practice efficient money management Encourage scholarship and promote school loyalty Assist students in the establishment of occupational goals Facilitate the transition from school to work.

  8. FBLA Code of Ethics I will be honest and sincere. I will approach each task with confidence in my ability to perform my work at a high standard. I will willingly accept responsibilities and duties. I will seek to profit from my mistakes and take suggestions and criticisms directed toward the improvement of myself and my work I will abide by the rules and regulations of my school. I will exercise initiative and responsibility and will cooperate with my employer and fellow workers. I will dress and act in a manner that will bring respect to me and to my school. I will seek to improve my community by contributing my efforts and my resources to worthwhile projects.

  10. Dues Membership without a T-shirt: $20 Membership with a T-shirt: $25 (This offer is only good thru September 10, 2010) The last day to join FBLA in order to compete at region competition is September 30, 2010.

  11. FBLA Community Service Projects March of Dimes Relay for Life Still open to suggestions!

  12. Planning is still in progress Planning of fundraisers, school service projects, socials, and community service projects are still being planned. Please watch the AHS FBLA web site for updates!

  13. FBLA Business Achievement Awards The Business Achievement Awards Program recognizes four levels of leadership achievement, each consisting of business, education, and leadership elements. This program recognizes a member’s participation in FBLA conferences, programs, and partnerships, as well as activities integrated into business classroom activities. Each time you complete a level, you will receive special lapel pins, certificates of recognition, and special recognition ribbons at FBLA conferences as well as 100 points towards your graduation stole. Remember Business Achievement Awards are due by March 1, 2010.

  14. Fall Motivational Rally First FBLA field-trip of the year. Will take place at Perry State Fair Thursday, October 14 The estimated cost of this trip is $50 but this price is subject to change due to the cost of the bus. Look at the calendar for sign-up deadline!

  15. Fall Leadership Conference Athens Classic Center @ UGA November 12-13 Registration: $45 Hotel cost is TBA This is for officers and future officers

  16. Fall Leadership Conference activities Exciting workshops MONOPOLY Tournament Scholarship Baskets Meeting other FBLA members from around the state of Georgia!

Region Leadership Conference(region competition) • All regions competitive events have a $20 registration fee per event. • There are three categories of competition: • Performance • Skills • Online • Students may compete in more that one event. Registration Deadline with Mrs. Hickman for Region Competition is October 18, 2009

  18. Region Leadership Conference(Region level Performance competition) This testing will begin January 13-31 These dates are for students competing in performance events only. AHS performance testing date will take place sometime during the above dates. The exact date a location is TBA.

Region Leadership Conference Online Testing • Held at AHS Monday January 10, 2010 • Events include: • Accounting I • Business Calculations • Business Communications • Business Math(9th-10th grade only) • Economics • Future Business Leader • Introduction to Business Communications (9th-10th grade only)
