  2. At the start of 2nd Semester, skateboards and scooters will no longer be allowed on campus.  Students must leave these items at home beginning Monday, January 28th. 

  3. Congratulations to Damonte Holiday for being named the San Diego Union-Tribune Athlete of the Month! An All-State Sophomore selection last year, Holiday averaged 20.4 points in 16 games while leading Hoover to a record of 13-3 and two tournament titles. A Junior at Hoover this year, Holiday had a stretch of 10 consecutive games over those two tournaments with 20 points or more for the Cardinals.

  5. Clean Campus Classroom Program • After taking 5th period attendance, scheduled classes are escorted to the Back Quad by their teacher.   8. Did you know that if you owe 6 or less detention hours, it would only take you ONE Saturday School to get off of the LOP?!?  We will have Saturday School THIS Saturday, from 8-12. Don’t be late! Start the new year right and get off of the LOP!

  9. CLUB Class of 2015/2016! Wednesdays right after school in Room 206 Bring your friends and join us, treats will be served! Lead and inspire your peers through teambuilding, community service, and building leadership skills.

  11. Congratulations to Miles Nolen-Webb for being named the San Diego Union-Tribune Athlete of the Week during the Winter Break! The Junior Point Guard averaged 16.8 points and 5.5 assists as Hoover won the Xtreme Glass Invitational title and Nolen-Webb earned all-tournament honors for the second straight time. The Cardinals’ victories included two wins over San Ysidro.

  13. A special Thank You to the 17 students who performed over 260 hours of community service during Winter Break. These students gained valuable work experience at both Hoover High School and Wilson Middle School, as they worked to improve these schools.

  14. The Varsity Boys' Basketball Team hosts Serra TODAY at 5:15pm in the big gym. This is the first league game of the year for the basketball team who is currently ranked #3 in San Diego. Please come out and support the team!
