Certainly in one sense, faith is a gift (Mark 9:24), repentance is a gift (Acts 11:18) But it is claimed that faith is a gift in such a way as to preclude man from having to do anything...

Acts 16:30-31 Then he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” Acts 2:37-38 Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” PERFECT OCCASION TO FIND THE ANSWER, “NOTHING!” - But... WHY DIDN’T PETER SAY, “NOTHING”? And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

  5. IF FAITH WERE A GIFT… Then where did this idea come from?? Why blame man for lack of faith? Mt. 14:31 Mt. 17:19f Heb. 3:12-4:2 Heb. 11:6 Why not give faith to all? 2 Pt. 3:9
