  1. ODT Attendance Make-up Assignment (Extra Credit) Presented By: Sean Korb

  2. Reflections on the Presentation

  3. Leadership Role Acting Team Leader Assigned tasks to team members Sent emails and texts for reminders of due dates and meetings Responsible for building the final presentation

  4. Sharing Ideas Voiced my opinion and ideas to the team without having to be asked. Listened to my teammates ideas and incorporated them.

  5. My Ideas • Topic of Presentation • Free Candy • Team Meetings • Advice on Content • Use of Google Docs • Dress Code for Presentation • Formatting of the Presentation

  6. Free Candy Idea I feel my idea of the free candy illustrated the excitement and idea of getting free stuff to the audience. I felt it also created a memorable moment to make our team stand out from the rest of the presenters.

  7. Project Depth • There was enough research done to cover this topic • Informed audience of how to obtain free stuff • Team was very thorough in researching data for the presentation

  8. Teamwork & Collaboration Teamwork is a very important part of completing a job. I learned that even with obstacles such as different ideas, opinions, and even language barriers, it all must be worked through to accomplish the objective. Being able to collaborate and share different ideas from many different walks of life helps create a broader idea of the final result. Very few things can be accomplished by one person, that is why I feel I learned how important teamwork is.

  9. Team Experience • What Worked • Great concept • Various topics • Relevant for all majors • Informative • What Didn’t • Lack of preparation • Language barrier • Team members not engaged • Presentation timing

  10. What could be better… Improvements on Presentation If I had more time…

  11. Skills I have learned

  12. Growth as a Student I have become a better student after completing this class and project, because I got to work in a team setting throughout the entire class. Having differences and challenges in my team has helped me learn how to collaborate in a team setting. This will help me in the future become a better leader and will improve my experience working with teammates.

  13. Growth as an Individual I have always been more of a loner type of person and always worked on things by myself. Being put into a situation where I have to work with a team, has made me aware that I do not have to do it all on my own. I have learned I can rely on others to help me reach my goals.

  14. My Advice for Others Welcome to ODT…

  15. Take my word • It is important to pay attention to all the details of an assignment. • Be sure to engage in class discussions, as this will help you when it is time to present. • Be a good team member who is willing to do your part and also willing to listen to what your other teammates have to offer. • Respect your fellow classmates and be prepared.

  16. Take my word • Do not procrastinate, complete assignments before the day they are due. • Keep an open mind, you might just learn something you did not know. • Practice, Practice, Practice your presentation and then when completed, practice some more! • Network with your fellow classmates even if they are not on your team.

  17. In Closing… “The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team.” ― Phil Jackson
