  1. TIPS FOR SELECTING A WOODEN HOT TUB When choosing a hot tub, first things first, you need to decide on the kind of wood that you want your tub to be made of. There are quite a few types to choose from like spruce, cedar, redwood and so on. The color also differs accordingly. Although, the color can be customized according to your personal choice. Also, you need to be careful about the kind of wood you choose because water can cause damage to wood over time- some more than the others. 1. Choosing The Correct Type Of Wood When choosing a hot tub, first things first, you need to decide on the kind of wood that you want your tub to be made of. There are quite a few types to choose from like spruce, cedar, redwood and so on. The color also differs accordingly. Although, the color can be customized according to your personal choice. Also, you need to be careful about the kind of wood you choose because water can cause damage to wood over time- some more than the others. 2. Decide where to place your hot tub One of the major decisions, which involve accounting for a lot of practical factors is deciding where exactly you want to place your hot tub, outside or inside your house. If you have space outside, in your back or front yard, then that is a very nice place too, but you will have to factor in the extra measures you will have to take for the maintenance. And if you want to place it inside, then according to the space you have got in your bathroom, you have to decide where to install the tub. 3. Deciding on the Stove Next, you need to decide whether you want the heating stove, outside your hot tub or inside, attached to your bath tub. This will affect a lot of things like if you are deciding to place the stove inside your tub, you will have to compromise a little bit on the space inside the tub. Whereas, an exterior stove will give you a lot of space inside the tub, but this obviously means that it will take up space outside, and you need to put in put in careful consideration regarding where you are placing it, and how much space you have got to offer, and what will be more viable for you.. 4. Maintenance While wooden hot tubs are arguably the most visually pleasing, and provide the perfect feel of nature, with its aroma and texture, enhancing the bathing experience, it is definitely tricky to maintain. Moisture and wood doesn’t necessarily bode well. Make sure that the surface is sealed very well, as the continuous exposure to water causes the surface to get damaged and crack as a result. But, a lack of usage will also cause the wood to dry out, so you have to use it once or twice a week at least. Continuous maintenance will be required. 5. Choosing the size of your hot tub Deciding upon the capacity of the tub is also something you have to put a lot of into. Keep in mind your requirements and desires and choose accordingly. While, a smaller tub will be apparently cheaper, a larger tub will hold a considerably more amount of water, as compared to smaller tubs and will probably prove to be more efficient for you in the long run. Hence, decide the size keeping all the practicalities in mind. Consider all the options Perhaps the most important of all is where you get your hot tub from. You would want to be especially careful when it comes to wooden hot tubs. Because, as mentioned earlier the classy material also needs to be carefully crafted, hence compare different sites. Look around, see where you are getting the best material that suits your needs at the most reasonable price and make your decision accordingly.
