  3. Tier I-In the Classroom • Literacy Strategies • Differentiated Instruction • Preferential Seating • Formative/Summative Assessments to meet different learning styles • Cooperative Learning/Grouping • Skill Building separate from the daily lesson • Inclusion Model • After School Instruction

  4. Tier II Extra Supports Outside the Regular Classroom • After School Instruction or Extra Supports during study halls/homeroom/ • RTI Class (small group instruction) for re-teaching, pre-teaching, and homework help • RTI Math Lab-open to all students in Core 3 and Core 4 needing extra supports

  5. Tier III… When All Else Fails • We do not currently have Tier III supports for the math department • What we do is request a SAT meeting and possibly request Special Education testing Funpen.org

  6. What will we accept as evidence of success? • Higher GPA • Higher Confidence • Completing Homework • Coming to school more often • Completing Classwork • Improvement on NWEA Score • More Class Participation • Improvement on Progress Monitoring http://www.unit5.org/bordner/cartoons.htm

  7. Wish List • RTI Coordinator/Specialist (Title I Math) • Support with Master Schedule • Support with Student Scheduling • RTI Team • No RTI Math Lab, add an extra RTI class for Core 3/Core 4
