  2. SER = to be You use the verb SER to describe. The verb changes forms depending on who or what you are describing – this happens in English too! Yosoy alto. = I am tall. Mi mamáesbonita. = My mom is pretty. Mis padres sonsimpáticos. = My parents are nice.

  3. Adjetivos/Adjectives – repaso/review Some adjectives end in –o. If you are describing a girl, you change the -o to an -a. If you are describing more than one person (or thing), you add an –s. • alto/a/s • bajo/a/s • simpático/a/s • inteligente/s (only changes to plural) Yo soy simpático. = I am nice. Mi mamáesbaja. = My mom is short. Mis amigos son inteligentes. = My friends are intelligent.

No me gustanlasfresas. = I don’t like strawberries. Prefiero el color rojo. = I prefer/like the color red. Mi deportefavoritoes el béisbol. = My favorite sport is baseball.
