Codes of Conduct Spirit of game is more important than winning Play by the rules – set a good example Respect referees, other players & team officials Provide equal opportunity for all players Applaud good play whether by your team or opponents Promote the interests of BNFC Physical or verbal abuse of referees, team officials or players will not be tolerated

  5. Codes of Conduct Parents MUST NOT enter the field of play under any circumstances $500 fine for every infringement Coaches/Managers may enter the field ONLY after signal by the referee to do so Ensure that all parents understand this requirement BNFC Constitution provides for members to be expelled from Club for unacceptable behaviour

  6. Child Protection Member Protection Officer (MPIO) – Serina Pratley When playing sport all Children have a right to: be safe and protected from any harm or abuse participate equally with everyone else be respected, cared for and listened to be supported by others in your team and club be safe from put-downs, harassment, ridicule and bad language.

  7. Child Protection Coaches, officials and others: have a responsibility to provide a safe environment for players and participants that is free from discrimination, harassment and abuse have the right to be treated respectfully and fairly in carrying out their duties should also take care not to be placed in a situation where they could be accused of discrimination, harassment or child abuse Shouting at a junior (U18) referee is considered child abuse and will not be tolerated

Photographing Children All photographers should register with an official or RTO BNFC RTO to advise other team’s RTO if photos planned to be taken Cannot prevent photos from being taken If requested by an RTO, photographs should be made available for review Concerns should be escalated to MPIO or any committee member Newsletter photographs will only appear after signed parental/guardian authority received by MPIO

  9. Team Lists & Team Grading Team lists distributed soon, if not already done so. Players with outstanding issues – these must be rectified by 15th March or will miss first round. All players with outstanding issues have been notified – so no excuses. SGFA grades teams early March Appeals must be made soon after Competition starts Sat 5th April

  10. RTO Registrations Three forms to complete plus photo ID Photos for RTO cards to be taken at the end of the meeting Please complete your RTO registration tonight!

  11. SGFA St George Football Association Complete competition rules available on www.sgsfa.com.au Refer to SGFA Constitution, SGFA By-Laws and SGFA RTO Handbook

Communication Meetings – generally 1st Monday of month at 8pm at Bexley North Hotel Newsletters are published on web site RTO’s should write match reports and mention all players regularly Encourage a different player each week to write a report Only positive reports will be published Some teams are producing season reviews using all match reports and game photos

Training Days Home ground - Tues to Thurs 4pm to 9pm Kingsgrove High - Tues to Thurs 4pm to 9pm Bexley Oval Outer - Mon, Wed, Fri, 4pm to 9pm (one floodlight, limited space) Book training time and day with President – Alex Papadimas Equipment must go back to gear shed – See next few pages for the current, and expected state of the gear shed. Last team responsible for locking all gates

Coach Training New Coaches & Managers information meeting All coaches are encouraged to attain Junior Licence accreditation with Football NSW Grassroots course will be conducted at Peakhurst Park, 15th March 2014. One coach per team will be reimbursed for subscription to www.globalfootballsystem.com

  16. Coach Training ONE COACH PER TEAM will be reimbursed for subscription to www.globalfootballsystem.com Do not share – access will be disabled if used from more than 3 IP addresses Go to www.bexleynorthfc.com.au Check Coaching Aids under Club Files Email copy of receipt to BNFC Treasurer

  17. Bexley North Football Club Do NOT contact the SGFA under any circumstance All communication to SGFA must be through Club Secretary - Luke Taylor Questions on match days can be put to BNFC committee members

  18. Fundraising Trivia night – Date TBA (June or July) at Bexley North Hotel By popular demand - No chocolate drive! Fundraising provides extra funds for capital expenditure e.g. floodlights & toilets, and ground maintenance – please support the Club
