DEFINITION OF STUDENT PORTFOLIO • a purposeful collection of a student’s work to illustrate efforts, progress and achievements. • a history of a student’s process of learning, efforts, growth, change and achievements. • a reflection on what the student has learned, how she thinks, questions, analyzes, synthesizes, produces, creates, and how he/she interacts - intellectually, emotionally and socially with others.

CONCEPT OF STUDENT PORTFOLIO • Constructivism: learning is a process of giving opportunities for learners to build their own understanding and knowledge through finding, interacting and negotiating between themselves with other people • Prior knowledge is needed to develop further understanding/knowledge • Self understanding is essential to build intrinsic motivation to develop their potential capabilities and interest through learning ( every person is unique)
