  1. protein bar energy bar sugar free protein bars Snacks That Can Help You Lose Weight Is it possible to lose weight while still snacking? The answer is yes! But the key is to snack right. You need to consume snacks like sugar free protein bars, mixed nuts, trail mix, fruits, vegetables and other seeds & nuts. Such snacks keep you feeling full through the day and limit your cravings for other unhealthy sweets, fried or unhealthy foods. Mixed nuts: Nuts are an ideal choice for snacks as they are packed with nutrition. They are high in healthy fats and extremely filling. Several studies suggest that eating nuts in moderation may help in weight loss. On an average 28gm of nuts contain about 180 calories. They provide the perfect balance between fibre, protein and fats for the body. Since they do not spoil easily, you can eat them on-the-go and while travelling. Energy bars: A protein bar or energy bar is a great way to keep your energy levels high. These snacks are ideal for people who workout regularly. They are available in various flavours in the market so you have a variety to choose from. You can choose the bar you want depending on the amount of energy you require on a daily basis. Protein-rich snacks also help in curbing unhealthy food cravings and help in maintaining a healthy low- calorie diet. Guacamole: Guacamole, which is made with avocados, is also a healthy dip you can snack on anytime. It is generally made with mashed avocados, chopped tomato, salt, pepper and spring onions. You can pair it with carrot or cucumber sticks, or even chopped bell peppers. These options are healthy and have less calories than fried chips. Greek yogurt: Greek yogurt is available in different flavours like strawberry, blueberry, peach, pineapple, etc, but the healthiest version of it is the plain one. Unflavoured greek yogurt is loaded with probiotics, calcium, potassium, protein and other nutrients. To make it even more delicious you can add fresh berries like strawberries, blueberries, blackberries to your yogurt. You can even top it off with sliced almonds, pumpkin/sunflower/flax seeds, pistachios and cashews.

  2. Dark chocolate: It is a lesser known fact that dark chocolate is high in antioxidants, and flavanols that may lower blood pressure and reduce heart disease risk. However, it is essential that the chocolate must contain at least 70% cocoa solids. It is also high in magnesium. It is a sweet snack that can stop you from consuming other unhealthier options. You can even pair it with almonds for that perfect crunch. Hummus: Hummus is a dip that is made with chickpeas, olive oil and garlic which are ingredients known to reduce inflammation and may improve heart health. It is a filling snack and high in protein. You can dip carrot or cucumber sticks in hummus to make it even more healthy for you. Fresh fruits: Eating a healthy snack can be as easy as grabbing your favourite fruit. Bananas, apples, oranges, pomegranate, berries and other fruits can be consumed once a day. They are high in fibre, vitamin C, potassium and other vitamins and minerals. It is also advisable to consume fruits that are in season, organic and fresh.
