  1. IPL News - Glenn Maxwell relishing RCB stint in the IPL 2021 Royal Challengers Bangalore’s key player Glenn Maxwell has said that he is loving the experience at his new franchise in the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League. He has given the credit to the support from the team management and his teammates as well. Notably, Maxwell has finally showed his class in the IPL with his new Bengaluru-based franchise, having played a few of match-winning knocks already as well. Glenn Maxwell that said he began to feel at home right from the beginning at RCB after he was released from Punjab Kings franchise. Notably, Glenn Maxwell was released by Punjab after having a poor season in the UAE last year where he could only manage 108 runs in 13 matches. However, the Australian all-rounder has so far scored 176 runs in just 3 matches, including two match-winning fifties for RCB in difficult batting conditions in Chennai and he has been going strong too. While he finished IPL 2020 without hitting a single six, he has already smashed 8 maximums so far. "I felt like I have been right at home since day one, the coaching staff have been extremely supportive so have the players, it has been great fun so far," Maxwell told RCB before the match against Rajasthan Royals in Mumbai on April 22. Glenn Maxwell was bought by RCB for a whopping price of Rs 14.25 crore after the swashbuckling all-rounder had expressed his desire to play with Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. The all-rounder has added firepower in RCB’s middle-order, easing the pressure off Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers.

  2. "The conditions are a bit different here at the Wankhede. There have been some high scores scored here, so for our batting group, it is going to be exciting if we can get going and continue to add to those high totals. It is just about taking one of the responsibilities of Virat's shoulders. He has got a lot of things to do out there, to sort of control what fielders need to be at what positions is one thing he does not have to worry about," he concluded.
