Almost every Indian household has an exceptional saree that’s been in the family for ages and represents the family’s legacy. While all sarees have a unique resplendence, silk sarees hold a special place in my heart. Each state has a different interpretation of this saree, and it looks beautiful in each and every way. Below are the 10 most famous silk sarees of India. 1. Kancheepuram Silk Saree The most popular of all, Kancheepuram silk sarees come from the south of India and comprise of three parts — the body, border and pallu. Beautiful designs using zari threads make these sarees luxurious and expensive. The contrivance, which is also famous in Bollywood, has vibrant and gracious colours that make it more attractive than ever. It’s the fabric’s ethereal shine and durability that’s made it popular across the globe. 1/13
