  7. Lesson : Patience will end • God is longsuffering – But He is also Holy. God is – patient, loving, kind, good, gentle God is also – pure, holy, righteous Habakkuk 1:13a You are of purer eyes than to behold evil, And cannot look on wickedness. While God is patient; His patience is not eternal. There will come an end to the patience. He will judge the wicked and punish them.

  8. Lesson : God is no respector • God is no respecter of persons Amos 3:2-3 2 "You only have I known of all the families of the earth; Therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities." 3 Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? God will judge the lost. He will chasten His own people. Every person will stand before God.

  9. Lesson : God is no respector 2 Chronicles 19:7 Now therefore, let the fear of the Lord be upon you; take care and do it, for there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, no partiality, nor taking of bribes." Romans 2:11 For there is no partiality with God. James 2:1 My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality

  10. Lesson : God is no respector Acts 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth and said: "In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. 1 Peter 1:17 And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear;

  11. Lesson : God is no respector Amos 4:12 "Therefore thus will I do to you, O Israel; Because I will do this to you, Prepare to meet your God, O Israel!" Most think this verse says – get ready to face God on judgment day. Most will say – Prepare, get ready, judgement is coming – Are you ready to face God?

  12. Lesson : God is no respector Amos 4:12 "Therefore thus will I do to you, O Israel; Because I will do this to you, Prepare to meet your God, O Israel!" Context – previous verses in this chapter : God fought Egypt – plagues God fought Sodom – homosexuality God fought Ahab – no rain for 42 months Are you prepared to fight God and win?

  13. Lesson : God can use you Amos 7:14 Then Amos answered, and said to Amaziah: "I was no prophet, Nor was I a son of a prophet, But I was a sheepbreeder and a tender of sycamore fruit. Amos was not a “trained” preacher, prophet, or leader. You do not need a masters degree in Bible to teach the lost.

  14. Conclusion • Amos teaches us that : • God's patience will end • God is no respecter of persons • God can use you to do His work
