1. FPDS-NG Enhancements FY11 Q2 GSA Training Module for NBA

2. OVERVIEW: This training module provides a high-level view of the enhanced FPDS-NG functionality: • Allows Contracting Officers to cancel a modification FPDS-NG reporting action, if basic order is not found in FPDS-NG (Mod Quick Check) • Allows Contracting Officers to cancel FPDS-NG Action Items which are in ‘Not Submitted’ or ‘System Error Status’. • Provides a ‘Cancelled FPDS-NG Forms’ View.

3. OVERVIEW Continued: • Allows Users with no FPDS-NG User ID to open FPDS-NG Forms in read-only mode and without errors. • Concatenates Mod Type Indicator and Mod Number for transmission to FPDS-NG. • Removes spaces and special characters from Contract Number (IDV) and Purchase Order Number (PIID) prior to transmission to FPDS-NG.

FPDS-NG Enhancements – Modification Quick Check Modification Quick Check – Contracting Officer Awards Purchase Order • Press ‘Cancel’ to: • Award the Modification, • Cancel on-line FPDS-NG Reporting, and • Create a record in the ‘Cancelled FPDS-NG Forms’ view Press ‘OK’ to award the Modification and create a ‘Not Submitted’ Action Item

6. FPDS-NG Enhancements – Modification Quick Check Modification Quick Check – Contracting Officer Awards Purchase Order WARNING! If the user closes the message box by clicking the , , the order will not be awarded. WARNING! If user closes the message box, using the red ‘X’, the order will not be awarded.

9. FPDS-NG Enhancements – CO Cancels Action Items Contracting Officer is provided with a ‘Cancel FPDS’ button. Contracting Officer presses ‘Cancel FPDS’ button and receives a confirmation pop up (see next slide) User should always attempt at least one ‘Resubmit’ before cancelling FPDS-NG Action

10. FPDS-NG Enhancements – CO Cancels Action Items Contracting Officer is provided with an Action Item ‘Cancel FPDS’ button. Contracting Officer presses ‘OK’ button and the system offers a ‘Cancellation Reason’ Selection box Contracting Officer presses ‘Cancel’ button and is returned to the FPDS-NG Form

FPDS-NG Enhancements – CO Cancels Action Items The system offers a ‘Select Cancellation Reason’ dialog box Contracting Officer must select a reason for cancellation before saving • Contracting Officer presses ‘Save’ and system: • Closes FPDS-NG Form, • Cancels action item, and • Creates a record in the ‘All Cancelled FPDS-NG Actions’ view Contracting Officer presses ‘Cancel’ and is returned to the FPDS-NG Form

12. FPDS-NG Enhancements – Cancelled FPDS-NG Form System displays Cancelled Form Message on all Cancelled FPDS-NG Forms System displays “Not Reported from TOS to FPDS-NG” and the Cancellation Reason

17. GSA Users who do not have FPDS-NG User ID may open FPDS-NG Forms

18. FPDS-NG Enhancements – Form Access Beyond FPDS-NG User IDs Allow GSA Users who do not have FPDS-NG User ID to open FPDS-NG Forms Form opens in ‘Read-Only’ mode. User has no Edit, Approve, or Resubmit capability.

Additional FPDS-NG Enhancements • Remove spaces and special characters from the Contract Number (IDV) and the Purchase Order Number (PIID), before transmitting this information to FPDS-NG • Service Desk personnel have the ability to restore a Cancelled Action Item to ‘Not Submitted’ status at the request of a GSA User • Remove Search Box from TOS FPDS-NG Views
