Guidelines for Presentations • Please keep the number of “main” slides to a minimum fitting the time available and put additional information in an unlimited number of supplementary slides. • Submitters are free to choose the title or theme of their slides on the understanding that the presentation as a whole will address most, if not all of the themes used in the titles in the following slides of this template. • Guest Organizations with a special interest in one or more of the three strategic topics of GSC-18 may be invited to make a presentation to a strategic topic session on a subject selected by the session organizers. Highlight of Current Activities • This section is for slides providing a high-level overview of significant areas of your work, including their importance, organization, impact, etc. • It is not intended for long lists of standards, publications, etc. Such lists may be provided in the Supplementary Slides section of the presentation.   4. Strategic Direction • This section is for slides providing relevant strategic direction of the GSC Member/Guest Organization on the topic. • This may include aspects such as observations (positive or negative), outcomes, target timeframes, collaborations and any other aspects in support of the strategic approach. • During the GSC-18 interactive sessions on the strategic topics, please be prepared to discuss the significance and potential impact of the strategic approach taken on the aspects addressed. Challenges & Hot Issues • This section is for slides identifying challenges, gaps, requirements, needs, etc., both within the GSC Member/Guest Organization and the industry/marketplace that it serves. • Any ‘hot’ issues that are drivers for the future development of related technologies, services and/or markets may be addressed. • Please be prepared to discuss the consequences of not being able to address the challenges, gaps, etc. GSC-18, 22-23 July 2014, Sophia Antipolis
