Why « Mécanosoude» as first subject • This subject concerns many people and different departments. • This design type is use daily at Cern. • This subject will “open” general questions of methodology. • A first job has been already done and presented by Luca Gentini. Main requirement • Describe a methodology to design welded frame and deliver manufacture documents. • Use this methodology for 80 % for of the welded frame. • Ensure the coordination with the other projects GrACQ, PLM-WG. • Ensure the documents quality for different departments Method, machining … • Users friendly.   7. Actual propositions 1. Use: Assembly with parts to make the models. (No multi-bodies) • More work for the design office but more flexibility globally Better solution on the complete process. (Cf Example). 2. The two structures DO and MO should be independent (Catia). 3. A status of the drawing (release) have to be identified before starting the production on the Workshop. 4. The design 3D coming from the DO should be compared with the design coming from the MO (geometries should match). 5. All the dimensions are on the drawings (no dimensions on the part list). 6. All material information should be present. 7. Create a Link in Smarteam between the Model of the design office(DO) and the method drawing (MO). 8.
