  4. It Could Happen to You • In 2009, the state recorded 947 people were using cell phones at the time of a crash. • That would be similar to 3 out of 4 kids sitting around you in Greenville High School.

  5. ‘Thumbs on the Wheel’ Campaign • To keep driver’s eyes on the road & their hands on the wheel • Recognize the potential dangers when drivers are not fully focused on the road. • Violators will be fined $100 for a first offense and $200 for any additional offenses.

  6. “Just Don’t Do it” • Michigan is the 24th state to ban drivers from texting. • The primary enforcement law prohibits drivers from: • Reading a text • Manually typing a text • Sending a text
